Chantal Bonitto

Chantal Bonitto (she/her), Senior Consultant, is the Director of Philanthropy for Women’s Funding Network (WFN) and previously, the founding Director of Inclusive Philanthropy at Planned Parenthood Federation of America and Planned Parenthood Action Fund, where she launched a program intentionally focused on next-generation philanthropists and donors of color. A recognized leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion, she brings deep expertise in fund development and a career dedicated to mobilizing resources for institutions serving marginalized communities. Her fundraising experience spans Major and Principal Gifts, Direct Response, Community Engagement and Stewardship, and Fundraising Events Planning.
Professionally, Chantal has advanced the missions of organizations across healthcare, including PPFA and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; gender-lens philanthropy, such as Women Moving Millions and the Ms. Foundation for Women; and international development, including UNICEF USA, CARE USA, and the Asia Society.
Beyond her professional work, she is on the Boards of Community Resource Exchange (CRE) and Women in Development (WID) New York. She is also on the Advisory Committee for WOC: Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy and is a co-creator of Women Writing Philanthropy: Writing Clinic Program with the Feminist Press. In 2023, she was selected for the inaugural Leadership Network of the Amplify Her Foundation. In this volunteer role, Chantal helps shape the Foundation’s grantmaking strategy alongside a community of women with lived experience in the communities benefiting from catalytic grants.
Ms. Bonitto is a graduate of Oberlin College, a recipient of the Fundraising Strategy Certificate Program at The George Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising, New York University and a 21/64 Certified Philanthropic Advisor.
