Jose Lugaro

Jose Lugaro, MPH (he/him), Senior Consultant, has nearly three decades of experience as a frontline fundraiser, organizational leader, consultant, and coach for organizations focused on higher education, healthcare, human rights, and social justice. As a former Senior Consultant with Plus Delta Partners, he facilitated ROI-driven programs and services proven to help organizations achieve measurable, sustainable fundraising improvements. While there he worked with dozens of chief executives, faculty members, physicians, managers, and fundraisers to efficiently raise more money, partnering with leaders to identify goals and then training and coaching both them and their teams through a variety of curated programs designed to drive revenue. In prior positions, he played a key role in the successfully completed $2.1 billion Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence campaign and was Vice President for Development at the Fund for Global Human Rights, leading worldwide fundraising efforts in support of the Fund’s grantmaking efforts to organizations across various continents. He has also previously held various senior roles with LGBTQ+ organizations nationally and locally.

 

An active volunteer, he chaired the Alumni Board of Penn State's LGBTQ Student Resource Center and was a founding board member of the University's Women's Philanthropic Advisory Board. He currently resides in Philadelphia and chairs the Advancement Committee of the Board of Directors for BalletX, the city's premier contemporary dance company.
