Lyndsie A. Whitehead
Lyndsie A. Whitehead (she/her), Consultant, is the Assistant Director of Foundation Relations at Baylor College of Medicine. In this capacity she manages the institution’s largest, most complex foundation donors in the proposal development, design and reporting processes. With an extensive background in grants management, during her tenure at the National Institute of Health, Lyndsie was responsible for the administrative management for extramural research. Prior to Baylor, Lyndsie served as the Senior Associate for Major Gifts at UNICEF-USA, where she worked with major gift officers in proposal development and designing outreach strategies through conducting individual prospect research.
In addition to her experience in fundraising, Lyndsie is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies Program at Howard University. As a recipient of the Fulbright-Nehru Research Grant to India, her dissertation research focuses on international student enrollment, as well as the academic and psychosocial factors that foster a sense of belonging for diverse student populations. Lyndsie was also awarded the Presidential Service Award for developing technical assistance and training programs to faculty at Adama University in Ethiopia. Lyndsie holds a Master of Art in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Art in Speech Communication from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
